COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Creamy, malty, and full-bodied, the Big Gruesome Stout is scary good. The intense, roasty flavor comes from two types of chocolate malt and raw cocoa nibs. The stout is then aged on whole vanilla beans and more raw cocoa nibs to enhance the chocolate flavors. Rich peanut butter is introduced throughout the entire brewing process to make this stout even more Gruesome.here is the description:

22oz bottle I picked up at Pizza Boy’s bottle shop. Pours an inky black with some thick, brown head. Nose is to the point, huge milk chocolate, dry roasted peanuts, lacto sugar, malt, a little cola. Flavor is more mild than the nose, still plenty of milk chocolate, still some distinct dry roasted peanut, molasses, cola. Full, sweet finish. Kitschy.

Great share at Pegs, thanks to whomever brought it! Love the mix of peanut butter, vanillia, fudge, dark chocolate, malted milk balls, light roast, hints of coffee. Yum.

On tap at The Knick. Smells like a peanut butter Meltaway with some coffee thrown in. Dark black with thin head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Starts and stays sweet with peanut butter, cocoa, and coffee. Finish is sweet with not bitterness. Smooth, sweet after.

bottle from?? I think I smelled peanut butter in aroma along with malts, roast, and chocolate. nice pour. taste was thin and this didn’t seem like an RIS. I got no peanut butter in taste; more like a thin coffee stout; meh.

Bottle. Dark cola color with a 2 finger tan head. Aroma is cocoa, vanilla and a little cereal grain. Taste follows suit. Not getting the peanut butter. Milky rich palate with medium carbonation. Good on its own merits but I wish the peanut butter showed up more.

bomber pour to snifter..medium black pour..1 finger head yielding tan color..nose is hard to describe..but yes..it is the essence of smores right off the fire..smells like hershey chocolate and melted marshmallow rolled into one..getting a backbone of natural raw peanut butter with some vanilla action..mouthfeel is lighter than expected...light bodied thinnish palate with some mild presence of a chocolate milk espresso concoction that one might get a fancy overpriced coffee joint..not the biggest fan of these type of stouts but it would probably pair nicely with some rich peanut butter chocolate cake type dessert..alright..

On tap at McGillins. Black in appearance with very little off-white foam. Aromas of sweet peanut butter mixed with cocoa. Toasty peanut butter on the palate, with a creamy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
