this gets a few points for being high in alcohol. Aside form that this is a very average, very forgettable brew. Worth a try but won’t be revisited.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear dark copper-orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Malt, caramel and spices in the nose. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, pumpkin spices and a touch of a vanilla. The finish is sweet with a malt and spice aftertaste. Decent overall.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Radioactive orange-amber, thin off-white head, minimal lacing. Pumpkin, a ton of nutmeg, some cinnamon, sweet pale malts. Medium to full bodied, sweet throughout, cloying, muddled finish. I don’t like most pumpkin beers and this one definitely is in the mold that is particularly tough to enjoy--overly sweet and overly spiced.

Pumpkin Ale for Zombies by Springhouse brewery is an excellent seasonal ale. The delightful amber color and nice head pair nicely with the spicy aroma and nutmeg/cinnamon overtones.

Bottle. Pours a deep copper with a light tannish head. Caramel, vanilla, and slight pumpkin pie notes. Medium mouthfeel. Pumpkin spice truly comes out in the flavor. Sweet. Ends with a lingering bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Capones. Fairly dark amber with a nice beige head. Good lord what an aroma...sorta reminds me of a light pumpkin cheesecake that makes my mouth water and may be one of the best smelling beers I’ve ever wafted...moderate to high carbonation, mild+ body, semi-sweet and a little thin with a kick of alcohol towards the end. Fairly easy to drink and not overbearing on the spice or the sweetness but after that heavenly aroma the rest of the beer doesn’t measure up.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A little bit different for a pumpkin brew. I thought it had a sweet butterscotch aroma that blended in with the taste as well. Creamy body, sweet taste of butterscotch, some pumpkin. Enjoyable

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear orange body with a frothy off-white head that left lots of clingy lace. The nose is rather different than most Pumpkin Ales, lots of vanilla and sweet brown sugar with a decent amount of pumpkin meat. I usually expect lots of cinnamon and nutmeg, but I don’t smell any in here. The flavor is incredibly sweet with loads of brown sugar, lots of vanilla, some spicy clove, and the pumpkin towards the finish. Some really nice graham cracker like maltiness under all the sweetness. Medium bodied and a bit clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. This is an interesting beer. It gets a little tiring on account of all the residual sweetness, but it really is unique among Pumpkin Ales.
