3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tan body of everlasting wheat fields, hazy, and flat. While the wheat character is subdued aromatically, the wheat flavor is left to race more freely. Tart wheatiness throughout, with whiskers of lavender. Toned down Belgian character, almost seems brewed from an English or American yeast. A touch of coriander emerges on the final sip.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap, Lancaster, backlog. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow orange body with a minimal white head. The nose is huge on the coriander and orange peel with a very little actual wheat making it past all the spice. The flavor is so spicy that it burns the tongue a bit. The carbonic bite from the heavy CO2 enhances it as well. Canít tell if this is beer or perfume that Iím drinking. The mouthfeel is actually pretty heavy and clingy for the style with very prickly carbonation. This really isnít to my preferences for the style at all. Way too over spiced and heavy. A Wit is supposed to be light and refreshing. Maybe this is supposed to be some kind of new style, like Double Imperial Wit or something.

Served on-tap at the Tasting Room.
A - Pours hazy golden yellow with a decent one finger tall white head leaving spotty trails of lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of light spice, lemons, bready wheat and the same yeasty aroma as the other light beers.
T - Starts off with some chewy wheat and a nice lemony twang slowly giving way to hints of the typical witbier spices and a bit of hop bitterness. Finish is dry, not lingering for very long.
M - Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. It get pretty thin toward the end of the glass.
O - A pretty decent witbier but I think I will stick with some of there other beers, namely the dark ones..., in the future.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 A: Golden colored body. One finger thick white head. Decent retention and moderate lacing coverage .
S: Bold floral presence. Getting quite a bit of coriander, lavender, and orange peel. Some grain comes through. A bit of yeast in the nose too.
T: Not quite as complex and enjoyable as the nose. Lots of spice and floral notes. Orange peel comes through quite a bit. Grainy body. Lavender is interesting but somewhat amorphous. At times it gets in the way, at others its a nice accent.
M: Medium-light bodied. Good carbonation. Not as freshing as I was hoping for. The orange helps, but the lavender drags the beer down a bit. If the lavender was toned down just a tad the refreshing character might improve.
O: Interesting and tasty. Ultimately, not as refreshing as Iíd wish for.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
"Like Drinking a Flower." This beerís appearance is an ordinary, negligible thing. The aroma is quite powerful, flooded with lavender, in a good way. The taste follows suit with floral and spices like clove. It also has a very clean palate to it. No lingering aftertastes that interrupt an interesting beer.

Draft @ the pub, growlered @ home.
Small white head thats short lived, little spotty lace. Clear, light gold color. Nose is flowery with the lavender, lightly fruity, citrusy, spicey. Light bodied with a slightly fizzy efervesence. Flavors of coriander, lavender, soap, light lemony citrus notes, faint maltiness and yeastyness. Lightly sweet and spicey finish. Interesting but a bit flowery for me.
