Pours baked golden with a lighter orange sunset hue. Aroma brings sweet citrus hops and pineapple. Flavor of the pineapple actually enhances the hops and dryness of the beer and the citrus and tropical fruits shine really well. It is nice and big for a pale ale.

Draft at bubes, served by a guy in a Hawaiian shirt. Clear golden color, huge fluffy white head. Aroma of freshly cut wet grass and pineapple. Taste is bitter citrus, tropical fruit, bittersweet candy finish. Tasty.

Bottle thanks to trade with mikericm! Pours a chill hazed golden orange with thin white head that leaves light lace. Aroma is resinous citrus hops, followed closely by dank pineapple, then a nice biscuit malt after. Taste is more toward the hops and malt, nice balance, with just an inkling of the pineapple juice afterwards. Light bitterness, soft carbonation, pretty darn nice, much better than its rating on here.

Tap at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is pineapple, cracker and biscuit malt with citrus hops. Flavor is sweet and crisp malt, pineapple, medium hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

On tap at Blue Dog. Copper pour with two finger white head. Pineapple, citrus, pine, basement. Moderately sweet and bitter. Crisp medium body.

Pours a clear pineapple golden color with slight white head which disappears quickly. Aroma of lagered yeastiness. Taste is malt sweetness, bitterness, slight grass holiness and only the sleightest hint of fruit on the back end.....but which fruit is not discernible.

on tap at Dog & Bull in Croydon - not as good as I expected. More of an IPA than an APA. Didn’t really taste any pineapple/fruit in there either.

Pour is a transparent golden orange with a tight white head. Nose is lighter, it has a light grain bill, fair amount of pineapple, a bit sweeter and the fruity tropical notes seem more from fruit not from hops. Taste is doughy biscuit, fruity pebbles, faint tropical fruit notes, and a bit of grassy hops. Well carbonated, light body, soft feel.

Bottle from whole foods. Pours clear gold with a small white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma does have a big pineapple flesh, some light flowery esters. The taste has a really sweet jump and makes me think of falconer flight hops.. Like the she monster from this brewery. This is an easy drinker, a bit sweeter than I’d prefer but it is OK.

Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading to leave a moderate level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is mainly of a malty smell mixed with some lighter aromas of a grassy hop nature. Along with these, and as the name may have predicted, are some aromas of pineapple mixed with some other tropical fruit smells of tangerine and mango. Taste – The taste begins with a crisp malty flavor with hints of breadiness and cracker. Along with these are some sweeter flavors of tangerine and a lighter pineapple taste. As the flavor advances the pineapple grows in intensity, all while the bready flavors become more doughty like in nature. These transitions make for a sweeter chewier taste more toward the middle of the taste. But as the flavor moves on to the end, hops start coming in, being a mix of grassy and citrus flavors, which mellow the sweetness out nicely and leave a rather pineapple fruity, but nicely balanced flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average as well. Both are rather decent for the pineapple and pale ale flavors of the brew and make for a more refreshing drinker. Overall – Unlike many of the pineapple brews I have had, which taste like spiked pineapple juice, this one has a nice pale ale nature with a background pineapple flavor. Rather easy drinking and tasty.
