3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Courtesy of markwise. Pours copper with gold edges and thin off white head. The aroma is sweet, malty, bread, a touch of butter and some hints of tangelo. The taste is a bit hoppier than the nose with a pulse of spice and some pine hops that quickly mix with grainy malts and bread. It finishes with fading malts and a persistent modest level of hops.

Dashirey thanks for sending this one to me.
The bottle poured into a pint glass produced a finger worth of white head that trailed of to a thin lace. The body was hazy amber in color with some suspended particles (hops)
Aromas are nice citric hops with some bready yeast. The flavors of some sweet malt followed by a nice hop bite easily describe this brew. The brew is also light in the mouth with good carbonation for the tongue. Very easy to drink and just as easy to enjoy

Draft @ the brewery. Small white head with fair retention and lacing. Light copper color, clear. Nose is lightly spicey hops, light citrus and caramel malts. Body is lightly medium, good carbonation, lightly oily. Decent hop flavors, citrus and faint pine with light caramel malt notes, lightly earthy and grassy. Dry finish with a light bite. A fair APA.

Light copper color clear. Hop pieces are floating in the beer. Hoppy aroma. Pretty good but not nearly as hoppy/flavorful as they make it sound.

I bought this one in a 1/6 keg. Nice color, not overpowering, but with enough bite to please hopheads!

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is a decent pale ale from a newer brewery here in PA. It kind-of disappoints in the fact that the body is rather light and a little bland. The flavor is certainly there, as this shows quite a bit of promise and potential. The beer pours a slightly hazy orange color with a subtle off-white head. The head left a nice amount of lacing around the glass, as well. There wasn’t much to the nose of this beer, with only small hints of hops, grass and a little caramel. The flavors noted were of spicy and bitter hops, a touch of grass, a hint of orange peel and just enough flavor of caramel malt to add a little backbone to the beer. But the finish lacked a little body and the flavor could have stood out a little better. There also could have been a bit more of a malt character to back everything up. The aftertaste and finish were otherwise pretty flavorful, with more notes of spicy hoppiness. Like I said, this beer poses a big potential to being a lot better. I hope maybe the brewing staff at Spring House decides to tinker with the receipe a little, because this beer could have a real winner.

This is a decent pale ale but it doesn’t have the quality of sierra nevada or bass or some others. I am anxious to try their other stuff when it comes out.
