COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our juiciest beer features ripe mango and tropical hop aroma on the nose followed by a mild bitterness from the Citra and Falconer’s Flight hops and some alcohol warmth to balance out the sweetness of the fresh mango.

Pours a somewhat hazy chestnut with a fairly thick buff head. Hoppy aroma has a definite overtone of mango. Flavor has a hoppy, woody, bitter core and adds on mango plus a little malt and a hint of smoky caramel. Texture is fairly firm and fizzy, leaving a hoppy and wood-bitter finish with more than a trace of mango. Different, satisfying, tasty.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2014 Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a dark caramel-orange color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that left exceptional lacing. The aroma was bitter and dryish with grapefruit and mango. The flavor was bitter and tangy grapefruit, mango, a dry middle then vague tropical fruit and a hint of toasted caramel. Long dry and bitter grapefruit and mango finish. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Pours dark bronze into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Caramel and toffee aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and mango upfront turning to mango before the lasting bitter pith finish.

Draft at Smiling Chameleon. Pours dark orange with an inch of white foam. Has a bit of fruit on the nose. The mango’s kind of faint on the tongue. Has some solid grapefruit and some nice bitterness on the finish. Solid IPA.

Cloudy amber pour with a small off-white head. Bitter, hoppy, and a hint of mango aromas. Taste is very dry and I didn’t like it at first. After it warmed a bit, I think it softened some and it became more enjoyable. Not my favorite, but very solid.

Poured from a bomber: A thick creamy head stuck around with nice lacing. The cloudy copper color was much darker than I expected. The flavor was fruity, but a little too sweet and thick. The finish was bitter, but a bit too harsh. It fell a little short in almost every aspect. I had high expectations only to be disappointed.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy, deep amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of mangos, some light floral and lightly citrusy hops, and a lot of caramel and pale malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. The malts sort of dominate this beer, and that’s not good for a mango IPA.

22 ounce bottle thanks to Greg. Big malty IPA. Lots of caramel. Some tropic fruit in taste and finish.
