Nearly black with faintest mahogany highlights, fizzy soda head. Tart raspberry hits the nose first, with a stripe of chocolate shop and then more berry fool. A lively carbonation makes the body seem thin, but flavor is firmly bitter, off-dry, robust roasted stout with a nice acidity from the fruit. Lightly tart with more sour cherry and raspberry. I expect to crunch on a seed. Thought this would be sweet and boozy but instead it’s austere and interesting.
