COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer comprised of approximately 80% Dopplebock; 20% Unfiltered Wheat was aged for over two years in oak barrels previously used for the Mueller Barrel Reserve (10th Anniversary Edition) with additional Brettanomyces bruxellensis added giving it a complex mix of oak, vanilla and fruit packed with a sour finish. The B-Funk is a beer that defies a simple description.

aroma is intense fermented, burned wood. light funk, devoid of odor of socks, etc... immediately tart. cherries at work. light fusels, likely lower ABV then it presents as. appearance is ultra clouded deep amber. light legs, ring head only. flavor is super acidic, reminicent of heartburn at times. overtly tart, cherries x1000. wood atom bomb, any balance has been crushed and lost, just one massive note: no funk, only wood and heavy dark fruit tartness. beware of the hefty $18.99 price tag per 750, hardly worth half that.

Bottle shared by the Tampa Crew. Cheers! Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is sour honey, blood orange, funk, wood, and tart fruit. Flavor is similar with hints of tart sweetness, some funk, and some blood orange. Interesting beer.

Bottle @ Matts house, courtesy of jcnielsen. Thanks Justin! Pours a bit hazy reddish brown appearance with a thin tan head. A bit vinous, tangy fruity, woody herbal aroma. Oaky, dark berry, vinous, somewhat acetic, vanilla, woody, kind of dirty/unintended infected flavor. Not a huge fan.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, thanks Aaron! Hazy reddish pour with white head, aroma brought notes of funky grass, grain, biscuit, bread, caramel, touch of trashy notes but not bad, slight funky fruits in there as well. Taste is a mix of sour fruits with cherry, touch of raspberry, hints of lemon, touch of caramel, toffee, hints of earth, nice grass, finishing fairly sweet, slightly sour.

Bottle at the brewery. Pours an orange/red color with white head. Tart cherry, acidic, vinegar, funky flavors and aromas. A little too sour for my taste, but Im not a huge sour fan.

Bottle at the brewpub. This is a really good sour wild ale. It poured a slightly brown cloudy color, with a smell of sour, and even better as it warmed up. The taste was really good, you really want to share this. The aroma was awesome as was the taste. They hit this one right on the head. Good job!

Bottle - big foamy head, dark amber color, lots of carbonation bubbles, apple cider type aroma, mild malt flavor and strong sour apple flavors
