Smells of wine barrel and spice. Taste includes vanilla and more wine and bourbon barrel characteristic. The wild yeasts are well integrated into the overall flavor. Mouthfeel is full bodied but kept light due to the impressive carbonation. Fantastic!

750 ml bottle. Thanks Sir Footbalm! Unfortunately the notes taken on this beer were limited, but both me and my wifey remember this beer being exceptional. We will try to find another bottle in the future and have a "re-do," but here’s what we got- Nose was sour, woody, with Bretty wet hay. Malts and Bret were noticeable in the flavor, and it drank extremely smooth. "Wine-like" comes to mind. Again, looking forward to a potential re-drink, but it was an ’05...here’s hoping a bottle magically materializes.

Another cool bottle broke out by the mighty footbalm! Thanks Eric. Pours a hazy orange almost brown color with a medium tan head. A nice fruity, sour and especially funky nose. An oaky and strong funky flavor, some fruit and sherry, some sourness almost, lots of tannins from the oak, funky brett throughout. Very good, a surprise.
