Springfield Mueller Chipotle Porter

Dark pour with fine brown head. Mild roast aroma. Dry roast flavor, chocolate, faint smoke. You might not know there were peppers in here if someone didn’t tell you, but they do add a subtle extra layer of interest.

Sampled on draft at the SBC. Pours opaque dark brown with a thick, dark tan head and remarkable lacing. Aroma has notes of mocha, but is otherwise clean. Flavor is balanced with just enough roasted pepper to let you know what you’re drinking. Plum and chocolate also present, but overall very balanced and clean. Full-bodied and moderately carbonated. Great pepper beer that is far easier to drink than Rogue Mexicali - or whatever they are calling their Chipotle beer this week.
