Jan 15, 2008 Poured a nice copper color with decent off-white head that hung around a while. Had a nice rich malty aroma to it. Flavor was also malty, but maybe a bit sweet for my tastes. Mouthfeel was good, but maybe a tad thin. I thought this was a pretty decent beer.

Jan 15, 2008 Bottle. Dark copper pour with a good slightly off-white head. Dark, rich malty aroma. Good flavor of rich malt with just a bit of hop bitterness. Fairly light on the palate with clean aftertaste. I really like maerzen beers and this was very good.

Nov 28, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Poured a nice orange with a two finger white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor was really disapointing; mostly of that of a really standard lager. No real malty flavor like I was expecting.

Nov 26, 2005 Copper with a quick settling layer of white head. Lightly toasty, and a bit earthy. Carmel malt and a fairly bold hop presense. Seems a bit too much hop character for style. Palate is a bit overly carbonated, but smooth. A good beer, but just a little rough around the edges.

Nov 12, 2005 Bottle: Pours a red hue, tiny head that vanishes quickly. Aroma is sweet malts, nutty, light fruit and hop pepper. Flavor is malty and bready, fruit (banana, cherry), light spice (cinnamon?), good hop profile, cascade-like profile odd in the style but works well all the same. Finishes sweet with a moderate alcohol note, dry grassy finish. Yum. Thanks Joeldude (my bro).
