troyc (937), A ’moist’ county, Texas, USA Jan 9, 2007 (Tap) This was actually my favorite brew that they offer. Spice notes are perfectly balanced by a sweet maltiness. Average body, smooth, and tasty. A very good holiday ale. A little more of a alcoholic ’kick’ would have elevated this beer to 4 points.
sethdude (515), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Jan 9, 2007 This is an APA with spices added, but I swear it would pass as an IPA. Pours a copper-red, medium head that fades quickly. Aroma is very bready, citric hops, and a coriander note. Flavor is breday at the get-go, here come the hops, very bitter, moments of clove, coriander, and what seems like a very, very small amount of cinnamon, followed by a nutty section that fades to grassy, dry hop resin on the tongue. Very nice, hope they make more next year.
