DruncanVeasey (1633), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Apr 7, 2008 Post-gym third at Knickersby ’Spoons. Pale gold collared with white. Quite a creamy m/f at the strength. Some sneaking hopleaf in the aroma. Zesty orange fruit with oaty digestive afters. Tasted numerous golden ales of late, and this one was well-hopped and better than indifferent. wyzzywyz22 (327), Wirral, Merseyside, England Mar 12, 2008 Cask, Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield.
Faded Gold. Grassy, slightly lemony taste with a dry hoppy finish. Unspecatcular but not bad. wheresthepath (226), Buckinghamshire, England May 16, 2008 [cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Light and refreshing, some "green"/ unripe flavour with a hint of apples. It’s a good session beer; the flavour is very reminiscent of Wadworth’s Horizon (which I drank in the same session) but whereas Horizon would be right for spring this makes me want to drink it on long sunny summer aftenoons! hughie (2206), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England May 10, 2007 Cask at Wetherspoons, Milton Keynes. Pale gold with a small white head. Sweet fruity aroma. Fruity pear taste, followed by a medium bitter finish. Plenty of flavour for its strength. Magic_dave6 (3752), London, Greater London, England Jul 27, 2007 3 Judges. Aroma is buttry, light berry hop and grassy. A bit of the sweet side of balanced.
