Apr 25, 2008 Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Barman offered to remove the sparkler, which was a pleasant surprise. Pale gold with a small white head. A bit of a sulphurous pong. From then on I quite enjoyed this. Pleasantly sour fruity taste and some bitterness. So where was the wheat?

May 12, 2006 Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW0, Soton. Minimal aroma with some poor grapefruity hops- more pithy than citrussy. Thin grainy malt. Not great.

Sep 9, 2004 Peterborough Festival. Cloudy straw body, hints at fruityness without it ever really breaking the surface, dryness without substance, middling sort of OK.

Sep 8, 2004 A wheat beer in name that I find hard to fit into the Ratebeer wheat beer categories! English wheat beers are quite a unique (and not always good) thing. This beer is cloudy orange. Aromas are buttery, caramel malts with some fruit and pepper. Flavours are dry and fruity with apple and wheat. Dull, but OK.
