Bottle shared by Jcwattsrugger. Pours reddish amber brown with a tan head. Nose and taste of smoked apple, burnt caramel, burnt molasses, burnt toast and burnt grain. Slight chocolate and brown sugar in finish. Medium body.

22 oz. bottle. Poured a hazy amber with a one finger off white head. Aroma is light malt with equally mild fruit. Flavor has a slight bitterness, but it wants to be sweet, it just never quite makes it. Medium bodied with an oddly bitter finish.

Pours a really dark reddish brown with a smallish off white head that quickly dissipate to a ring on top. The aroma holds a heavy dose of caramel and brown sugar with just a hint of chocolate and a touch of earthy hops to provide an illusion of balance. The flavor is fairly sweet with lots of caramel and dark sugars being dominant. Light bits of dark dried fruits and chocolate as well as a bit of earthy hop flavor. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet tart sugary mouthfeel. This is a nice beer, but it feels more like a brown ale than an Irish red to me.

From the 22 oz. bottle. It pour a handsome looking translucent brown with a small, dissolving head and red highlights all around the glass. The aroma is sweet up front with malts and even a slight fruity character akin to cherry. Almost no hop sensation. The body is a little better than medium. The taste is incredibly sweet up front followed quickly by an astringent but low bitterness that does not linger long on the palate. Drinkable for sure.
