2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bomber from Chase Street Market in Plymouth, NH. Rated from the bottom of the bottle. Pours out a murky golden amber. Low carbonation. Honey-spice aromas and flavors. First glass was overly sweet. Second glass is a bit better, more balance. Yeasty finish. This does nothing for me.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle. Pours a thick looking amber/gold with a 1/2" off white head. Small amount of lace. Malty, herbal aroma with a touch of rye. More hints of rye in the flavor as well as some light floral hop bitterness. Palate is towards the heavy side with low carbonation. Overall, I thought this was a very nice brew and will look for it again.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2012 So as I sit here and finish my glass I am reluctant to leave this review as is. In all honestly there is really nothing wrong with this beer, it’s just not what I was expecting. Sweet and English inspired I guess in that context it’s an all right brew.
Pours a slightly hazy deep golden copper color with a good sized white head that is full of glass covering stickage. The aroma is not at all what I was expecting. There’s a candy like sweetness along side a spicy tartness and a fair dose of ethanol. Pale ale is in the title I was hoping for some hop aroma. Based on the flavor I’m guessing the inspiration was English. Malty sweet fruity and sugary flavor, with a hint of earthy hops, spicy rye and again some alcohol. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel. Too sweet, too little rye, too little hop presence, too much alcohol. This beer is a mess.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Paid $7.50 for a 22 oz. bottle @ Bert’s. Used a lager glass. Deeper Amber color brown highlights. Good retention. Nose is caramel malt and light grain. Mild bitterness through-out the sip. Rye is an accent to the beer rather than being a main player. The malt, hops and rye play well together. I was hoping for an IPA when I bought this… not what I was expecting. No flaws. For the APA style it’s on the lighter side of medium body and noticeable grain. Texture has a tingle on the tongue from Co2 and the lightly spicy Rye. Very mild bitterness with a short finish.

Notes only. Bottle. Malty, Rye, but very light. Some bitterness/citrus in the finish. A bit on the watery end for this style, but still good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. It pours a hazy, reddish-amber with a smallish head and limited lacing. Some may think "Rye PA" equals IPA but there is little in the way of hops in the aroma. On the nose there is a lot of grain and sweet caramel malts. The body is about medium and creamy. The taste is full of grainy rye-like grass and an interesting dry hop bite at the end. Refreshing in its own way.
