Spur & Vine puts a Northwest twist on our classic American Hard Cider. Starting with the same apples and yeast as The Original, a generous amount of Galaxy hops were added to the cider during cold conditioning. Since no heat is applied to the hops, the cider takes on flavors and aromas of peach, melon, and honeysuckle, but with none of the traditional hop bitterness. Spur & Vine is best served straight up to allow the complexities of this cider to shine.

Pale yellow color, almost no head. Very nice aroma, Chardonnay and New World Gewurztraminer. Off dry mouthfeel, but smooth; light cider flavor, some white wine character, fruity, not bitter.
Excellent idea.

Second review of this cider! It was okay, but it doesn’t come in a can at all. No meat scent, though. Apple skin, fruity esters, and some yeast. A bit of sugar, floral hops, and plenty of chemical goodness! I’ll drink it.

Bright bronze colour, fresh berryish hop aroma. The palate is less cohesive, with the hops and apple both clashing and being cohesive...not sure what to make of this.

Bottle from a local Raley’s supermarket. Pours sort of golden perry with some bubbles on top. Aroma is melon/cider with discernible peach. Gotta love Galaxy. Near med body. Hardly any carb. Flavor is melon/peach. Quite smooth and nice. A little cider flavor comes along with time.

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear pale blonde with a tiny head. Nose brings out lots of dry hops upfront that are rather earthy and BO-like, with light apples in back. Flavour is quite pleasant, with a good balance of dry hops and medium sweet apples. The dry hopping is done well and tastes better than it smells. Good stuff.

Stole this from brocansail because I was thirsty as hell and didn’t want to pay for it! Sparkling champagne pour with a fresh apple, vanilla, and whipped cream aroma! Only $6 at this bar, free for me. Sadly missing that excellent spoiled meat and sulfury chemical load that I crave. Sweeter, sugary, Granny Smith apple, airplane sized Chardonnay that I stole from the first-class cabin. Tried it a few hours later and even better warm and flat! Hopefully they die this blue and start selling it in 2L soda bottles at my local grocery store.

On tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has dry apples with a bit of grassy hops and a touch of acid. Flavor has more sweet aple with a dryness in the finish and hints of acid and grass.

Bottle - Apples, some vegetative herbs and some sweetness. Clear gold with no head. Sweet apples, peach, some light tartness and a nice finish. Although nice, I don’t get the hops unless it is herbal notes in the nose.

Bottle from Ale Jail. Clear orange pour with no head. Low apple tartness and it could be carbonated a bit more. The hop addition is nice though - melon notes.

Bottle. Pours with a clear, pale yellow hued body with minimal head. Aromas are of tropical hops, mineral, stone fruit, lychee, sauv blanc esq. Mildly sweet, white tea. Flavors are medium sweet, light sulfur, apple juice. Sweetness dulls the hop aromatics, still tropical and floral, but it would be so much better if it was drier/crisper. Medium body, off dry. Slightly St. Germain like (elderflower+citrus). Medium carbonation. Not bad, but could be better!
