COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spur & Vine puts a Northwest twist on our classic American Hard Cider. Starting with the same apples and yeast as The Original, a generous amount of Galaxy hops were added to the cider during cold conditioning. Since no heat is applied to the hops, the cider takes on flavors and aromas of peach, melon, and honeysuckle, but with none of the traditional hop bitterness. Spur & Vine is best served straight up to allow the complexities of this cider to shine.

12 oz single from a small convenience store in Keizer. $1.39. Different label but obviously same cider. Pours a light golden colour and has a fair sized white head( for a cider) Nice aroma of semi-sweet apples and floral hops.. Taste is sweet but not nearly as sweet as the usual cider..the hops take the edge off the sweetness..like it says getting melon,peach,apricot..and floral hop. Palate as usual with ciders broders on the cloying but its OK. Nice drink actually.

Served in a wine glass. The appearance was a clear golden yellow with a vast array of carbonation bubbles stuck along the sides of the glass. There’s no head nor is there any lacing. The smell had alcohol and apples in a vinous sort of way. The taste was basically the same leading into a dry vinous aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this sat exceptionally light and spry on the tongue popping all over my taste buds but not popping them. The carbonation finishes not as sharp as expected. Overall, though I am still trying to figure out why hard ciders are on here, from what I’ve had this is quite possibly one of the better ones because of the way it felt on my tongue.

Maybe was a bad choice by me to rate what this is, me not being, a hophea. Interesting nose but just really weird in the mouth with the hops mixing with the cider.

Bottle from Bishop Cider. Light pour. Aroma is sweet and apple. Taste is pretty much slightly less sweet a cider. I want to say that I could smell hops a little, but if it weren’t on the bottle, I’m not sure I would have been able to tell you it was hopped.

Bottle. Aroma is a little sweet, light hops. Flavor is sweet, hoppy, dry with a tingle over the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours light gold. Smell floral AT first then a bit metallic with subtle Apple. Taste is slightly drier than average and thin apple flavor. Not really much hops in flavor at all and in the aroma they fade quickly. A bit watery. Decent but not as good as I hoped with less hop character and thin.

A really good cider, I thought. Tart and little bitter, with some heavy green apple flavors.

Was ready to really like this. Galaxy is one of my favorite hops and this looked like a good authentic take on cider. Instead this was very sweet with almost no discernible hop character. This cider seems to be fairly simple with little time spent developing, drying out and without much apple flesh or wild character -- no tannins, little floral aroma, no touch of balancing tartness. So what I tasted was a hopped cider without apples and without hops. Very disappointed and hoping for so much more but this tastes a lot like Ace, Woodchuck or other quick commercial cider made from concentrates and devoid of any Basque or Somerset complexity.

Bottle - Apples, some vegetative herbs and some sweetness. Clear gold with no head. Sweet apples, peach, some light tartness and a nice finish. Although nice, I don’t get the hops unless it is herbal notes in the nose.
