Commercial Description:
It has a deep amber color and rich malt palate which is balanced with signature American variety hops. Although this is a lager, it is brewed at slightly warmer temperatures which produces a modest amount of fruitiness in the finish.

On draft from the brew pub. Filtered with an amber hue. Off-white head. Mild malt nose. Sweet and medium bodied. Smooth with a generous hop finish. Tasted like Cascade? Sweet light roasted malt notes, then a bitter and dry finish.

Draft pint at the brewpub, 5/12/06: Reddish-amber; smooth and malty with a sweet twist to it. Very good amber lager and a good tribute to Anchor Steam.

tap at brewpub-beer pours orange with a very small white head. earthy./spicy nose with toasted grain husks and some twangy caramel malt accents. flavors pretty much match the nose-lots of malt sweetness followed by a lightly piney hop finish. fairly clean ferment for the brewer (some wierd things go on in some of the beers here). not bad.

Nice clear brown color with very little head - little carbonation. Aroma has light graininess and mildly spicy hops. The beer tastes a bit flat. It has some caramel malt mixed with sourness and the finish is piney hops with lingering sourness. An okay beer, but I don’t think I’ll have another.
