(bottle from Sparky, thanks Eric!) Pours a cloudy dark amber with a white light-tan head that rings around the glass. Nice fruity aroma of green apple, abundant oak, raspberries (pointed out by OSLO), and acetone. With further warming, the beer begins to showcase some malty elements reminiscent of a brown ale. The taste is very sharp and snappy, with plenty of tart green apple (almost green apple jolly ranchers), pineapple, yogurt, and some mustard. With further warming the beer produces flavors of blueberry. On the finish is an abundant amount of oak. Overall this is a quality sour ale. Thanks again, Eric!

Bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Murky, sediment-laden orange-brown body, thin cream head. Firm funky, sour nose, lemony tart. Sour, fruit body with hints of lemon in addition to funky pineapple and dusty, cobwebby grassy notes. Has good complexity and a nice bite.

Pour is dark reddish with thin off white head, aroma has notes of lemon, acetic acid, some slight dark fruit, hints of sweet fruit and caramel. Nice and very much like rodenbach. Taste is a nice mix of dark fruit, acetic acid, some slight funk, lemon, finishing with more vinegar notes. Nice brew, works well in the oud bruin style!

Bottle @ home, courtesy of arminjewell. Huge motherfucking thanks! Cloudy reddish brown appearance with a tan head. Spicy, dark fruity, plum, dark cherry, light vinegar aroma. Tangy, oaky, rich, spicy, dark cherry, vinegar, acidic, deep fruity, fairly sour flavor. Sour cherry/blackberry, tangy flavor. Nice brew! Love the spicy cherry flavor. Thanks Armin!

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour and cheese yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sour flavor with a medium to heavy sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a complex beer for style.

750ml bottle I received in a trade. Pours hazy reddish brown with off-white head. Aromas of dark fruits, wood, and some sour notes. Flavors of cherries, caramel, ripe fruit, and a bit of tartness. Finishes kind of sweet. Not overly sour, but a nice tasty beer. Good stuff.

Bottle at FoBAB 9. Pours a very attractive reddish brown, mostly clear, nice billowy head. Nose is really quite nice. Soft lactic acid, lacking vinegar character. Sour in the nose with a grainy backbone. On tasting, it’s a bit one dimensional. Yogurt lactic acid and some clean grains dominate. Light oak. Just lacks depth and layers. A bit thin as well. Solid beer, just needs a bit more.

Bottle. Pours a copper red color with a light tan collared head. Nice aroma of caramel, sour fruit, acetone, and oak. Light mouthfeel with good carbonation. Apple and cherry notes in the flavor along with some earthiness. Some white grape too. No real booze notes to mention which is surprising given the ABV. A real easy drinking sour. Nice.
