3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cork and caged bottle from zathrus shared during RBSG 2011 probably over a year after I acquired it. Poured a brown body with a small foamy off white head. Aroma of wet wood, slight sourness and some pond water. Thinner bodied with strong carbonation. Flavor is the same as the aroma with the pond water being toned down to gone. This wasn’t mouth puckering sour more just like a Sour Patch kid that someone suck on for awhile and you picked it up off the floor to finish it.

Big thanks to Dmac for bringing this to RBSG. Pours a moderately clear amber color with not much of a head. Aroma is if some nice tartness, sour cherries and some oak notes. Taste is pretty complex, notes of tart cherries, sour funk, light barnyard, slight vinegar and some oak in there also. Solid sour.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle generously shared during RBSG. Hazy pour that is like an orange iced tea. Intense nose of grapefruit, passionfruit, and strawberry. Really nice, juicy aroma. Flavor is immediately acidic but surprisingly soft afterward. Some sweet and slightly tart strawberry notes with a touch of vanilla. Sharp carbonation with grapefruit tartness and bitterness in the finish. I like.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml. bottle I got in a trade with Sledutah. Thanks Craig! Hazy red color. Great lacing over the snifter. Nose is classic Belgian Flemish Sour with oak sourness and tart cherries. Taste is tart cherry, sour oak, some brettanomyces and vinegar. Lighter in body. Very sour and the brew is really mouth puckering. A very well done sour ale. Lots of pucker in the finish. A very slow sipper but not in a bad way. I didn’t get tried of it at all. Has a good drinkability. If you find your way to Salt Lake City, pickup a bottle if you like sours!
