Pours a ruddy amber/brown/ruby color with a medium tan head. Aroma is funky with some sour cherry notes and oaky vanilla. Flavor has nice sour notes with some oaky earthiness and slight tart vinegary notes...faint cherry and leathery funk. Mouthfeel is light and lively with a tart, leathery/oaky finish that is slightly dry.

750 ml bottle to oversized snifter (shared with the Mrs.; thanks douglas88). Looks decent; a hazy amber with no real carbonation or lacing. Smells solid; Semi-sweet, oaky, and funky with unoffensive notes of vinegar. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Good, not great; would definitely benefit from some carbonation.

Bottle thanks to footbalm for hand delivering them to me. Pours out a brown/amber topped with a white head. Aroma was oak upfront (normally a huge turnoff to me) tart cherries, barnyard, and some sweetness. Taste more of the barrel sticking around but a good tart and sour to help push it back a little. Some good cherries and sweetness. Not to bad.

Big thanks to Dmac for bringing this to RBSG. Pours a moderately clear amber color with not much of a head. Aroma is if some nice tartness, sour cherries and some oak notes. Taste is pretty complex, notes of tart cherries, sour funk, light barnyard, slight vinegar and some oak in there also. Solid sour.

Pours caramel brown/orange with a nice fizzy tan head. The aroma is cherries, both fresh and cherry syrup (if that makes sense), oak, and lacto. The flavor is nicely sharp and sour with mostly cherries, grapes, and oak. Very dry with a nice pucker. Just a touch of fruity sweetness and a little vinegar. Not as sour as Rodenbach, but a very nice Oud Bruin.

750ml bottle I received in a trade. Pours hazy reddish brown with off-white head. Aromas of dark fruits, wood, and some sour notes. Flavors of cherries, caramel, ripe fruit, and a bit of tartness. Finishes kind of sweet. Not overly sour, but a nice tasty beer. Good stuff.

Bottle courtesy of jblauvs. The pour reddish mahogany with a small white head. The aroma holds funky orangina with under fermented pear and apple cider, cheesecloth , a hint of cherry, and wood. The flavor holds acetic and tannic acids, attenuated cider, cheese cloth, and cherry. The palate is effervescent, dry, puckery, and crisp. mmmm
