12 ounce bottle. The aroma is loaded with fruity yeast and hop notes, the malts are sweet with caramel nuances. The flavor follows suit, starting with the fruitiness and finishing with a caramel sweetness.

Pours a pretty reddish copper with a thin tan head mostly lasting. Nose is hoppy. Fairly creamy on the palate. Hop taste is most evident, smooth not bitter. Muted malt notes are also evident. A good beer but not top tier. Pairs well with hot pastrami and swiss cheese on rye bread.

AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 26, 2011
Pours up a rich crystal clear dark amber colored body with a hefty frothy tan-colored head with good retention and lacing effects. Warm aromas of grains, malts, toffee, vanilla, and melted caramel with a subtle hint of hops. The flavors are nicely complex with sweet malts, just a touch of a hoppy bite, with a noticeable smoothness like warm caramel. Medium-bodied, ease of drinkability, well-balanced, and a sweet, clean finish.

12oz bottle at Papago. Copper color pour with a foamy head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and pine and citrus hops. Flavor is pretty standard for an amber, some nice light roasty malt and a decent amount of citrus hop bitterness. Not bad.

An intense aroma of hops and caramel and malts. Wow, this way better than I expected. Some hops, but a lot of malt flavor battling it out, mostly grassy versus caramel. Overall, good stuff I’d get again. Smooth and creamy finish, one of the best ambers I’ve ever had.
