3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Utah State store on Harris in Salt Lake City. Pours rather dark copper with a beige head. Aroma of roasty malt and mixed hop. Med body. Flavor is treacle/roasty malt with some serious hop. Not enough hop to make it dry, but it’s getting pretty bitter. Drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Poured medium reddish-orange with a tall, creamy beige head. The aroma picked up sweet nutty malts with very light accents of cocoa powder and some herbal hops.. soapier as it warmed up.. not a lot to get excited about. The flavor found nutty notes and caramel at the core.. more of a hop presence than the nose suggested, with pine and some fruity bitterness laced throughout.. a little sour plus some dank bitterness on the finish.. meh. Medium-bodied and rather sharp on the palate.. the dryhopping worked OK, but I don’t think it was a good base beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Courtesy of douglas88. Pours clear amber with ruby edges and thin tan head. The aroma is sharp spicy hops, earthy hops, malt roastiness and a sense of saltiness. The taste is similar with pleasing levels of spicy hops, earthy hops, a thin layer of grapefruit then picking up malt sweetness and a bit of roasted malts. Nice full flavored brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle, thanks to my parents for bringing this back from a road trip. Shared 4 ways with the family. Bottled 4/24/13. Mostly clear amber-red color. Thin khaki head. Loose dots of lace. Medium body, smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly crisp. Lightly dry finish. Caramel malts, lightly toasty. Some decent light earthy, light spicy hops. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Pretty good amber ale, definitely above average. Better than expected.
