On tap at squatters pours out a dark brown topped with a sand head. Aroma of rye, dark roast malts, and some hop notes. Taste hops, roast malts, little bitterness on the end.

The bartender called this beer "Black Full Suspension" -- I’m assuming it’s this for now.

Columbus "dank" hop aroma, with toasty, subtle coffee. Similar hop flavor, and quite a bit of the "Black IPA" herbal flavor. Toast/bread, roasted malt.

Had on draft at the brewery. Pours a very deep brown. The hops are citrusy in the nose. There is a dry roasted malt note, citrus, floral, slight chocolate, and resin. A solid beer. I think a bit more finishing hop character would greatly improve this beer.

On tap at the brewpub. I’m not sure how this should be listed, but the dominant character is pale ale for sure. Pours a deep brown color with a medium light beige head. A nice fruity nose. The flavor is very good with rich fruity hops, light spicy rye, chocolates, low bitterness. Basically a BIPA...or a Black Pale that is!

On tap at Squatters downtown
Appearance: Clear dark brown with a small beige head and some lacing
Aroma: Roasted malts, chocolate, fruity and rye spices
Taste: Roasted malts, grainy, rye, chocolate with a mild sweetness in the finish
Very nice, I enjoyed this one.
