COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like summer in a bottle, Bumper Crop starts with the gentle aromas of freshly gathered lavender and features local honey for a soft, slightly sweet finish. At 5.5% ALC/VOL, it simply tastes bee-yootiful.

Bottle at home picked up from GBBF 2014. Aroma is belgian wit yeast, orange blossom, some sweet honey and strawberry chewy sweets. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Flavour is honey and candied ginger, flat wheaty grains, light orange and belgian yeast. Malts are a little dull and stale. Clean ferment. Palate is semi-sweet, moderate carbonation, semi-dry in the finish. Lingering orange zest and candied ginger. Not bad

Mostly clear golden with a foamy white head. Bright herbal nose with notes of dandelion and summer flora. Clean and crisp semisweet flavor that features dandelion and a fresh summer citrus zest, but mostly still summer herbs, lavender and a touch of honey. And fennel.

This is a pretty darn good honey beer and I don’t really like honey in my beers. A nice grainy flavor mixed In as well. Good.

Lightly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry and crispy. Sweetish floral spice. Light generic fruits. Finishes dry with more aromatic floral spice. Bit dry and over spiced but okay.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14. Clear pale golden with a mdoerate off white covering. Nose carries floral notes, lavender, honey, light bread, grain, spice. Taste comprises much the same, not a huge amount doing but not unplesant, more honey, bread, spice, straw, floral tones. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so.

12 oz. bottle from Santa shared with the group. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet honey notes, toasted malts, floral, and herbal character with the lavender being noticeable but not over the top, a splash of light fruity notes. Decent enough for what it is.
