"a bit under average for an oatmeal stout, a style i usually go out of my way for. this one has some nice roasted flavors going on, but itís nothing special, and a little watery. ok overall."

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours black, slight head. Aroma was coffee roast, a bit of chocolate, and a touch of a piney hop bite. Flavor was a match, a bit slick on the tongue. A very enjoyable roast stout, hard to believe they pulled this off under the 4% mark. One of the favorites I had on draft in SLC.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint, at the SLC airport Squatters pub. Great oatmeal stout, black as a Jolly Roger, with a super decent creamy, tan head. Bittersweet roast aroma of those typical oat malts, with a touch of chocolate in the background. Very agreeable flavours of chocolates, coffee and roasts again, with a harmless hoppy finish. Palate is always velvety, but it starts gummy and it gets quite watery by the end of the pint. The beer has that typical Salt Lake (Copperton?) metallic flavour that I had tasted in other beers. Neither this metallic bite nor the fact that the pint was just too cold ever bothered this dirty old man here, with a big smile on his face after having taken the Provo Girl.

So I just noticed they have weird tops on their hard liquor here, which then get used with some sort of electronic dispensing system. Iím guessing thatís to control the amount? Mormons? Aliens? Iíve never seen that elsewhere. Any who this is my definition of a delicious stout. I like oatmeal stouts and you, rate beer, love the darker beers too. I know you do. I can see it deep in your ratings. Unlike you I also enjoy lightly hopped beers ("for shame" you must be crying out and to which I say you sicken me).

12 ounce bottle. Thanks Dallas! Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Just a small touch of hops. On the thin side. Pretty good.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Dark walnut brown, creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet and roasty, not truly chocolatey but hey. Flavour is sweet and reminiscent of Tootsie Rolls a little, but not that over-the-top. Roasty dryness in the finish. Medium bodied.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not impressed thin as the 4 %. Polygamy porter taste about the same as two percent higher. So not impressed what's done here a bit darker but nothing impressive. Don't get this.
