COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A best-of-breed English Style Summer Ale, this tail-wagger’s already fetched a real name for itself in competition. Our premium barley rolls over with domestic and imported Golding hops for a delicate bitterness and cold, wet nose.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2010 Pours golden with some lacing. The taste is mildly fruity with a roasted malt. Not much hops in it, but it has a good finish. Overall, a decent beer worth trying. Re-rate: on cask this beer is amazing. I forgot to re-rate, but Craig has forced me. The rich hoppy and spicy flavors really dominate on cask. Very good. My rating is a combination of the two.

Draught sample at Squatter’s Pub & Brewery, SLC. Mild malt aroma, light graininess. Very little hops presence. Golden amber clear with white lacing head. Light body with medium carbonation. Starts with a fairly tangy lemony presence, with mild carbonic gaseousness and medium hop bitterness. Finish is a mild bitter with tangy grain. Smooth after.

Draft at the Brewpub, 10/5/07; nose of caramel malt; cloudy amber with a small white head; flavor of caramel with a tiny bitter hop note. Drinkable golden; not my favorite style.

nice fruity aroma, pours a clearish golden straw color, taste is light grain with a low to medium bitter character, very average but that is good if you are looking for something to quench your thirst on a hot summer day.

Draught > SLC, UT airport. Dry and not much else to say about this one. Pretty non descript & forgettable.

on tap-pours a white head and slightly hazy yellow color. Aroma is mild citrus-lemon hops, faint grain-caramel. Taste follow. Mild carbonation.

Chasing Tail Golden Ale is, in fact, golden and sparkling. The bubbly white head is fleeting and the lacing is good. Grain is in the nose along with some grassy hops that border on sweet. It is light bodied, sparkling and it leaves the palate clean. Green apple, black pepper and a subtle fruitiness lurk about a very grainy (like crackers) flavor. It was a good choice after I mowed the lawn for 2 1/2 hours. Refreshing.

Poured a clear golden straw color with a thin white cap on top. The nose was strong of caramel malts and spruce needles. The flavor was not as enticing as the aroma. It started with a slight roasted caramel maltiness and finished with moderate piney esters. Overall it has a nice moderate to thick feel. It’s not bad, but nothing to shout about either. I could drink these for a while but it would probably be a second or third choice beer.

Great Utah Beer Run – Summer 2007
On Tap – Light golden color with a thin head. Malty with aroma and a very light fruity essence. The flavors where full of light malts and this was a easy drinking ale. Liked the flavors and the easy drinking feel this is a good hot day beer.

Pours an orange-gold in color with a thin white head that dissolved to a stringy scuzz. Nose is mild and I am getting a straw-like aroma more than anything else. Really enjoying this beer. Lots of sweet malts on the tip of the tongue that only get sweeter towar the back of the palate. A light, refreshing hoppiness that I almost miss. Even picking out some light, subtle fruits such as apples and peaches. Light mouthfeel that is quite refreshing. This would make a nice lawnmower beer.
