COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich, Northwest-style Pale Ale is a rare feat of balance: unfiltered, dry-hopped to 40 IBUs, and deliciously sessionable. Groove on this two-time Great American Beer Festival® Gold Medal winner (2001 and 2002 Bitter Category). It really smoothes out the bumps.

Bottle from Guess Who? Bentonville. Light amber with a small head. The nose is hot cantaloupe and pear. PNW hops and sea salt. Some tropical guava. Less vivid flavor. Some pear and apple. Biscuit. Light body, soft carbonation. Decent.

Pours orange and hazy. SMell is hoppy fruity and clean. Taste is similar with fruity, clean hops. Really is very drinkable, smooth and clean tasting a full month past the drink by date on the underside of the can. This is a pretty nice pale ale and at only 4%, that’s even better. Still a nice full body, but light enough to be sessionable. Expected I’d drain this after seeing the date, but was pleasantly surprised.

An absolutely clean, fresh but still boldly hop focused brew. Pours a dark straw with resilient, pale head. A huge, clean mouthfeel greets the tongue as a balance of sweet malt character and great bold hops with mild grassy character swirls it's way down. More hop forward than most pale ales and more clean and sweet than the Indian cousins, this brew holds its own with the best of brews. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

@ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Nearly clear deep amber color, good white head that reduces to a full cover, thick clouds of lace. Taste is malt that is quickly joined by citrus hops. Neither side is overdone. Both move cleanly to a short finish that is finally sweet only. A solid American Ale.

Can. Pours cloudy deep golden with an off-white head. Aroma of peach, pine, citrus, malt and hop pellets. Flavor is sweet and fruity with some citrus, pine and peach. Medium body, average carbonation.

Nice very pleasant beer - slightly hopped with a very balanced malt finish. Very smooth beer that is fine to drink / neither offends or asserts ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Exceptional light beer. Hazy golden with a copper tint and lasting white head. Full flavor with a light body. 60/40 hop/malt balance that’s just right after a hard ride. New back porch winner in the flavor to low abv feat.

My go to beer! Love the citrus hoppiness, and the pure unfiltered flavor. Good head with a hazy copper color. Best from the tap.

On draft at Sheraton in SLC. Medium orange, slight head. Aroma of caramel malt, faintly earthy and citrus hops. Flavor matched. More focused on the malt side than on the hoppy side. Not bad, but just sort of so-so.
