COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich, Northwest-style Pale Ale is a rare feat of balance: unfiltered, dry-hopped to 40 IBUs, and deliciously sessionable. Groove on this two-time Great American Beer Festivalģ Gold Medal winner (2001 and 2002 Bitter Category). It really smoothes out the bumps.

This beer pours a light orange copper color. One finger of off white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is a little weak. Some slight hop aroma. Some leafy notes, light citrus, maybe a hint of pine. Some weak caramel notes from the body. Definitely an English Pale Ale. A little malt forward on the taste. Some slight English hop notes, something like fuggles. On the finish that slight citrus comes forward and rounds with some pine and caramel. This beer is smooth, drinkable, but seems a bit disjointed.

Aroma is citrus, mildly earthy malts and a hint of hop resin. The flavor is citrus, very light grapefruit, malts, very slight heat, thick/course texture and a dryish finish.

12 ounce bottle thanks to jake 65. Pours a llighter copper color with a beige head of loose foam. Moderate retention. The aroma hits me hard with pine and ginger. The taste lends a soft bitterness with a nice bread presence rounding out the finish. Very session able.

Hazed orange, light head. Kind of dumb label. Mildly hoppy beer with some orange citrus and breadiness. Taste has orange citrus, mild breadyness, light and somewhat dry, lightly toasty.light caramel. Citrus in finish.Mild peppery spice. Not bad for its low abv.

Draft at brew pub. pour copper yellow. Nose decent pain and mango fruit hop. Taste starts with nice pine hop, but immediately taken over by malt. mid palate wheaty biscuit malt and a malty finish. Started off promising, but the malt takes over.

Yea cycling! I like cycling. I donít think Iím as serious about cycling as this guy on the bike. Thankfully he isnít riding a fixie . I swear I would leave right now if he was riding a fixie. Often I donít like dry hopped beers, they just seem overly intents but this is nice. Hmm maybe this means I should have rated with more variation. Drat. I think I like this slightly less than my other two favorites but not by much.

Bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma has some citrus, grassy and earthy hops, mild pine needles with mild pale and toasted malt. The flavor has much of the same with a dry, mildly bitter finish. Drinkable; nothing pops, but nothing bad either.

Bottle to taster. Looks solid; a hazy dark orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells hoppy and fairly malty (for an APA) with notes of citrus zest. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Alright.

12oz bottle, thanks to my parents for bringing this back for me from a road trip. Bottled 3/21/13, shared with b3shine and alexsdad06. Totally hazy peach color.. I may have given myself the bottom pour. Little white head, pretty nice lace. Lighter body. Smooth, kind of crisp carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Very easy drinking and refreshing. Nice lightly grassy hop, some toasty malt, lighter on the caramel. Good dry hop aftertaste, some foresty hop. Good moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Suprisingly tasty, easy-drinking and refreshing pale ale.
