Squatters Hop Rising Double IPA has a thin, cream-colored head and a hazy, orange appearance, with some streaming bubbles and a lot of lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, bready malt and other sweetness. Taste is very hoppy, bready, and sweet. But, it’s not really any different than their regular IPA. Mouthfeel is medium, and the finish is mostly dry and easy drinking. I recommend it. RJT

Had on draft at "the pub" in Las Vegas. Great lacing in the glass....aroma is the best part of this brew. Overall great....leaves just a bit to want on the overall taste...but would certainly get again

Poured into a snifter. 3.5 A: Lightly hazed dark orange color. Two fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention is about average and a decent amount of lacing is left. 3.5 S: Lots of citrusy hops with plenty of orange. Unclean bready maltiness with lots of caramel. Hints of acetone. 2.5 T: Citrusy hop flavor with notes of tomato paste. Lots of bready yeastiness that dominates along with hop bitterness. Caramel in moderate amounts. Need to be cleaner. 3.0 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Not particularly creamy with too much chewiness. 2.5 D: It’s not that bad, but in a world with so many great DIPAs, this doesn’t make the cut of average. Bottle-pours medium orange with a small fizzy white head with lite lacing. nose is mostly big fruits citrus and some alcohol heat coming in there as well. some menthol notes as well. flavors exhibit the big malt bill as well as muddled citrus hops-the first time i had this it was much more bright. I can see this being a very good citrus-forward fresh IIPA with a little less age on it. palate is round lush and verging on cloying. however, the alcohol is well hidden here. long finish of sweet citrus not much else. actually the finish is kind of short. wish i can get this fresh (maybe in a month when i head through salt lake).

Golden with slight amber tint and white head. Decent lacing. Citrus, caramel, sugary, and fruity aroma and flavor. Full bodied, mild alcohol notes, ok balance, and high hop lingering bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a big beer but doesn’t deliver the big flavor I was looking for. This is a good beer but not the monster IPA I was looking for. There was nothing unique here for me to get excited about.

Delicious hoppy beer with a beautiful golden appearance. For a interesting night try drinking 6 of these in one night.
