The hops come out in the aroma, but the taste is all soapy. It’s a baseline double IPA, nothing special.

This brew poured up a dark orange colored body with a hefty, frothy off-white head with generous retention and amazing lacing effects on the glass. Aromas of grapefruit (a hint of lemon perhaps?), floral hops, and spices. Flavors of the same. Medium-bodied and whoa buddy, hoppy! For me this was a mouth-puckering experience but a delicious one all the same. For hop-heads you will definitely enjoying this fine brew! Nice dry finish with no harsh aftertastes.

Thanks to Douglas88 for this fine Salt Lake City DIPA. Born Date: 8-10-11 Pours orangish yellow with a slight white head. Smell: Huge malt backbone, honey, some grapefruit and citrus very little pine. Nice balance of malt and bitterness which my nose led to think other wise. Grapefruit, mango, pine, caramel and honey. Coasts the mouth well and finish is long with a good pine and grapefruit presences.

Golden with a great lacy, solid white head. Super fresh pine-citrus aroma. Full bodied maltiness spiked with a solid hop dose; with light orange citrus notes.

Sampled @ GLBF 2011. Big full ho aroma, a resiny citrus flower, honey in the distance. hazy bright amber w/ barely a head. the flavor is harsher than the aroma, grapefruit rind and alcohol, nothing the tiniest sweet.

The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of hop notes to it as expected. I get a lot of papaya and pineapple, but there are also some bitter oranges and a little bit of resiny pine. The flavor is similar. In addition to the pineapple and papaya notes, I get some caramel malt. However, the malt is fairly subtle and the bitterness is pretty high but not overwhelming. The flavor is very juicy and the tropical fruit really stands out. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very easy to drink.

[Tap] Pours a reddish brown hue with a dense and creamy head. Once the foam recedes, a hoppy grapefruit and resinous pine needle nose emerges. Earthy and dank hop profile is strong and inviting. Sugary caramel, mild yeast and bready malt backbone. Mild heat from the ABV. Nice balance, with a hoppiness that quickly fades into the sweet finish. Oily mouthfeel. Solid.

Bottle. Pours a clear orangish amber with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of pine with with a bit of sweet grains and a hint of caramel. Flavor begins with a good amount of pine that has a bit of resin and mellows to have some sweet grains in the finish.
