I was kind of confused by this one. Big malts and very little happiness. Aroma was sweet and citrusy but the taste wasn’t anything to talk about. Malty and lacking hoppiness in my opinion. I was excited to try this but it ended up being kind of meh in my opinion.

Pours a hazy orange with a big head and lots of lacing on the glass.

The aroma is piney with some cascade(y) citrus hop character.... s’got a lil caramel in there, but it’s real light and generally the beer smells fresh and hoppy.

The flavor is nicely bitter, it’s got some mild astringency but the hops are big and juicy with some floral and grassy notes as well. The maltiness is generally pretty well controlled and kept to the shadows. It’s a touch boozy, but tastes pretty good.

Didn’t know this shelf beer would offer such a high boost!

Light head orangish to amber color. Some fruits, and bit of malts in most. Across the palate its not real bitter for a double. Good balanced beer. Nice one.

Tap @ The Pub at Monte Carlo, Las Vegas. Hazy orange pour, thin white head. Aroma of orange, citrus, spices, some wet dog and a bit swampy yeast. Flavor is bitter hoppy, spicy and with some unfermented sugars. Seems a bit off to me.

9 oct 2013, bottle. Light orange, clear, steady bubbles, thick, rocky head. Nose is grapefruit rind and some sweet orange pulp. Med body and moderately fizzy. Slightly sweet granola malt, orange pulp, moderate alcohol, piney hops, some bitterness. Outstanding! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - looks pretty nice - lightly hazy copper, with a frothy, sticky, thick lace - nose of citrus, Juicy Fruit gum, cherries soaked in simple syrup, pine resin -soft carbonation in the mouth - flavor is simple and quite sweet, with a juicy citrus flavor that gives the overall impression of those little fruit cups of mandarin oranges - a sharp hop acid bite finishes - harsh.

12 ounce bottle thanks to jake65. Pours a hazed copper with a velvety beige head of foam. The aroma has a soft herbal briny presence that hovers towards pine and fresh cut grass and pineapple. The taste, though, gives me more of a resinous bitter profile. Some malt backbone shows up about mid pallette. Pretty nice beer.
