4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pours more copper than orange for an IPA. Aroma seems to be a house style for Squatters: more malt than hops. Like cooked marmalade. Overall, hides its 9.0% ABV extremely well, has lots of sweet malt flavor - a very good beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A sweet grapefruit like aroma. . Orange and ruby clear body. Head thins out a laces the glass nicely. Strong bitterness upfront. Has a light fruit and caramel malt balance. Finishes clean and refreshing for something this strong. I’ll be happy to have this one anytime.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared 12 oz. can poured to rock glasses, showing a clear & bright, golden color, with a fairly persistent layer of frothy, white head foam, and wavy ribbons of lacing. The nose was initially resinous, then some citrus & dried fruit. Medium bodied, with fair carbonation, the flavor offered booze, the esters, decent malt backup, and some earthy & resinous bitterness. Not overly wowed, but an okay DIPA.

Looks orange. Smells of Hoppy Bread. Tastes decently hopped but not enough for the style. Just rather Boring.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz can, June 2014, shared in Tallahassee, as I recall... or maybe given to me by PorterPounder? Nice orange pour with a good khaki head, nice lacing. Okay aroma, very mild tropical fruit, pine, citrus, malty. The flavor is okay, too malty, bitter, resinous, viney, a bit of pine. Eh.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from my trip to Vegas. Pours orange brown with an off white head. Aroma is dank, citrus. Flavor is caramel, orange, citrus, floral hop. Some grapefruit bitter in the finish. This is within it’s best by date, but barely... I thought it might be past its prime, but looking at other reviews it sounds like this is what it’s supposed to be. Not bad, but a little to the sweeter side of balanced.

Deep copper colored pour. Huge off white head. Tons of lacing. Big caramel nose. Not much hops. Sugary caramel taste. Cloying. Some corn notes as well.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can. An unclear, golden colored beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is sweetish, with apricot notes and resins. The flavor has a light sweetness, a bitterness level to deal with it, some maltyness and resiny, piney hop flavors. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting fruity and bitter finish. Sure a decent one, not too bitter and not too sweet. Wouldn’t mind repeating this one. 140613

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hard to believe this is a double IPA - it seems far more like a "meh" IPA. Pours golden with a medium head that sticks around. Aroma is mild resiny hops. Taste is mild resin/pine hop and malt at the beginning, but then a lasting bitterness. Not "interesting, complex, hoppy bitterness." Just bitterness. This would be a decently refreshing summer beer, but I wouldn’t pick it up if I wanted an interesting beer.
