footbalm (1211), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Mar 2, 2008 Okay, so I actually finished a Utah beer.
Not too bad for Utah but not a good Dubbel. If you really concentrate, which you shouldn’t have to do, you can get some complexity from this. A minute amount of spice and fruit.
KawaBomber (147), New Jersey, USA Apr 7, 2008 12oz Bottle: Pours a lovely shade of amber, garnet highlights throughout, w/ a small off-white head that leaves some drippy lacing hanging around. Aroma is of bananas & clove. Flavor holds some spiciness, banana, a bit of sugar & clove w/ what seems to be a bit of roasty smokiness towards the end. Palate is the weak point of this one, it’s quite thin. My bottle just says it’s a Belgian Style Ale, not a Dubbel. So based on that this is a well balanced brew & much better then expected. dchmela (695), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 23, 2008 12 oz bottle courtesy Douglas88. Pours reddish brown with minimal head. Sweet malt aroma, but very faint. Taste is slightly thin, malty with a candi sugar sweetness. Finishes a little sweet. The bottle says it is 4%abv. Help the good beer drinking people of Utah, send them stronger beer!!! hopscotch (4460), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Mar 20, 2008 Bottle... March 08 Tampa Bay Tasting... Beautiful, clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Not picking up much aroma-wise, but I do catch a few wafts of restrained coriander and smoke. Light-bodied with lively carbonation. Grainy, spicy flavor provides notes of cornmeal and coriander. Unsweetened cornbread finish. Not at all my thing. zathrus13 (1059), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Mar 14, 2008 Pours a beautiful amber, with a white head. Aroma is spices, sugar, and banana. Flavor is spices and bananas. Rather dry. Not bad, not really a dubbel either.
