4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a 22oz. bottle and pours a nice dark color with a fizzy tan head. Aroma is nice with a heavy roasted malt note. I also get some nice coffee and chocolate. Flavor is a nice bitterness with a heavy roasted malt. A heavy coffee flavor with very minimal chocolate. Mouthfeel is fizzy and carbonation is average. overall this is a solid beer.

Love this RIS. Not completely over the top, something I could drink a lot of because it’s almost ’balanced’ for a RIS. All the typical RIS flavors etc... but also a little bit of hops, maybe fuggel or smething else English.

Aroma: Sweet, coffee roast, licorice, molasses. Subtle Dark fruit.
Flavor: Sweet/brown sugar/burnt sugar. Licorice. A little roast, and a little raisin. Subtle allspice-like spicy flavor. Sweeter finish. Bitter aftertaste.
Warming alcohol. Substantial mouthfeel--but not really heavy for the style.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at Public House Las Vegas. Dark brown pour with almost no head. Aroma is very strong malt. Almost smells barell aged. Tastes the same. Tons of roasted malts and what tastes like bourbon. But it’s not. This beer is intense! Palate dances from malts to sugar toa slight coffee/hop finish that lingers.

Taster at RBWG 2014 grand tasting - thanks to the person who shared this! Dark brown color, slightly red. Thin khaki head. Dots of lace. Dark fruit, some light roast, good dark chocolate. Moderate sweet taste, bigger bitterness. Light alcohol heat. Smooth soft, lighter carbonation. Solid, kind of a more robust imperial stout.
