2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DavoleBomb (1382) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Poured into a pils glass. Born on 4/18/12.
4.0 A: Clear dark yellow color. Two fingers of pillowy white head. Retention is very good and a moderate amount of lacing is left.
3.0 S: Light hay and grassy hoppiness. Fairly clean, but could be a bit moreso. Not bad, but not much going on.
3.5 T: More flavorful than the nose suggests. Hay and grassy hoppiness again. Lightly bready malts underneath. Fair neutral malt sweetness. Again, could be cleaner, but not bad.
3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Not as crisp as I’d like, but okay.
3.5 D: Decent, easy drinking pils.

Ridiculously drinkable, had one of these after a hot day walking in a national park and destroyed this in no time. Maybe I’m over-rating it because I so needed a beer at the time, but I really enjoyed this. Colour is a bit weak but it’s got a great balance of light malt and hops making it a clean and enjoyable example of the style.

Nice light grainy aroma, faint spicy hop character, very clean. Pours crystal clear, straw color, white head with nice lacing. Clean flavor, light malts, mellow bitterness, bright and clean, refreshing. Light body, medium carbonation, nice and easy drinking brew.
