Moderate smoked malt aroma and (tasty) flavor; Really well-balanced at first, but the smoke flavor tapers off, and mostly vanished by the end of the glass. Still a good Porter otherwise; with a good balance of malt flavors (roasted, caramel, sweet, and light bread).

Had at the downtown brew pub, it was a nitro draft. There is the smokey ham quality, slight chocolate, caramel, fruity. Very light. A firm bitterness in the finish.

Growler thanks to Sledutah. Pours a brown color with a medium beige head. The aroma is sweet toasted malts, a earthy malt. The flavor is easygoing and nice; a earthy malt flavor that comes close to Squatter’s house flavor, light but not a lot of smoke, nutty, easygoing and nice.

On tap at the brewpub
Appearance: Dark brown with a medium sized off-white head, some lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Toasted malts and coffee
Taste: Roasted malts, coffee and some smoke lingering in the finish
A nice beer. The smoked malts don’t come through very strong, I would have liked them to be stronger in the aroma and taste.
