12oz bottle. Filtered amber-brown body. Thin, lacy beige head. Pretty decent US Scottish Ale. All about the malts. Sweet, nutty, mild smoke tones. Mild, medium bodied, true to style. Not as enthralled with it by the end. OKish.

I though this was pretty nice. Some smoke but not a lot, the flavor is good. Looks good as well.

Draft - Toasted malts, Whisky notes and some light smoke. Deep black with a decent beige head. Toasted malts, dark fruit and light chocolate. Tasty, but I donít get peat.

Murky dark woody brown with a thin and fast-fading light beige cap. Lovely nose of peaty chocolate with some earthy toffee goodness. Medium body with a rich brown ale and lightly smokey peat flavor, mostly dark bready toast with light cocoa and just a little roast, with malty sweetness and peat. Nicely done, even if I did drink it 2 weeks after the "best by" date.

Tap @ Outlaws, Williston. Orange-golden color with a finger of creamy beige head. Nose is peat and metallic. Lots of peat in the flavor, lightly metallic, and some grain. Pretty one dimensional...

Loads of peatyness and caramel in the nose. Not much head retention for my bottle, as it was out of date. After a taste, loads of rich caramel sweetness, smoke, more peat. Light head retention. Full bodied and complex for 5.6% alcohol. Leaves you wanting more. Overall slightly under attenuated, but great beer. The roastyness and hop character keep it from becoming too sweet. Enjoyability 4.5/5

Bottle. Amber pour with a cream colored head. Malt and light peat. Lighter palate. Pretty simple, straightforward brew. Touch of caramel sweetness.

OK...Iím not sure if I gave this one much a chance but I just didnít care for it. Seemed more to rely on a whiskey type taste than a beer flavor. I only had one and may try again but initial reaction was to order something else...

Bottle at Beer Bar SLC. Dark brown pour with a disappearing brown head. Light aroma of sweet malt. Flavor is bolder with some peat smoke, spice and molasses. Nice overall.
