Bottle conditioned. Gold, good fluffy white head and moderate condition. Lightly spicy with hints of ginger or corriander, some honey and malt in the nose. Spiced apple notes in the mouth with more malt and a slight thin metallic edge. Honeyed aftertaste with some delicate hoppiness and a developing yeast bitterness.

A dubbel with all of these hops everywhere? I don’t know about that. . Good and strong hop aroma, at least for the style. Flavor is lightly bitter, some butter, and more hops. A cloudy orange beer. Medium palate.

Bottle, 330ml at Kafee du Hopduvel, Ghent. Clouded orange with white head. Quite tart straight from the off, fruity with apricot notes, zingy but still sweetish, but overall the tarty flavours rule. Light and easy enough on the palate. Pretty reasonable.

1999 bottle at Kulminator. Pours hazy copper with a small light head. Caramel and cellar aroma, followed by dry cellar and raisins flavours. Still teasing the tongue with some fizz after all these years, though probably slightly lighter body. A ten-year old treat.

Orange/golden colour. Fruity (strawberry) aroma. Very sweet taste, bit like the aroma, but more hoppy. Bitter sweet palate.

Citrus and hop aroma. Orange/golden colour. Bit cloudy. Beautiful head. Bit sweet, citrus, appel and hop flavors. In the end a little bit appel acid but the hop is gone.
