Flink zoet aroma, als in een snoepwinkel, en tegelijk kruidig en vochtig bos. Smaak is chocolade (met de scherpte van een kersenbonbon), kruidenbittertje en ingemaakt fruit. Lange zoetbittere afdronk.

Thx! to tderoeck for sharing this @ ‘The Adam Jackson Tasting’. 33 cl. bottle sampled. Murky mahogany with a reddish hue and a light brown head. Smells of overripe red fruits, sharp, tad excess yeast, strong yeast & still tad fermenting. Tastes of sharp yeast, mould, overripe fruits, booze. Unfinished with caramel, malt, lots of sweetness and brown sugar. Feels a bit half-done, ok but a bit whatever. The Belgian honour was not fully defended.

Nice dark brown color with a dark red glare. Smell is pretty good for a 6.5ABV brown beer. Taste is a little sweet and a little bitter. Low body.

Had this in Oktober ’10. Colour could use a bit more ruby-rednesh shining through. Smells and tastes a bit sweet, raisin. To much co2 for me.
