Big offwhite head. Deep orange body with lively carbonation. Strong
sweetish apricot aroma with notes of candy and mealy wheat. Mild mealy
apricot taste with hoppy, papery notes. Faintly sweetish. Dry papery
apricot aftertaste. Interesting, nice, and very drinkable. (0.341l
bottle from a grocery store in Montréal.)

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2008 There is something inherently likable about this beer. The mouthfeel is impressively soft and velvety: a small sip is enough to cover the mouth. Not overly fruity due to the natural tart-bitterness of apricots. Because the fruit is not invasive, this is a dry fruit beer. It’s by no means a big beer, but it goes down so well I find myself returning again and again.
draught @ Winking Judge: Clear warm orange gold. Aromatic apricot wafts up from the glass. Sweet-tart like good candy. Medium carbonation. Juicy, off-dry. The apricot dies out a little at the end yielding to a fruity dry finish.

The Apricot flavour is beautifully transpired while not being overly strong. It looks brilliant in a glass.

I tried this beer at Smokeless Joe’s in Toronto on June 25, 2007. Wow! What a beer! (and it’s an ale - maybe my ale has come!) This was a beautiful orangy colour, not translucent at all. The aroma was very much apricot with some grassy hints. The mouthfeel was crisp with nice carbonation. The flavour was malty with hints of apricot. I love this beer!
