Apricot Wheat Ale blends various barley malts with malted wheat and natural Apricot essence to create an original-tasting beer with a clean, fruit nose.

This crisp refreshing flavored brew would have made a terrible wheat ale, as it is thin and sour on the palate. No doubt this is why McAuslan Brewing company of Montreal Quebec imbued it with the flavor of apricots. Astonishingly this is what saved this beer from a profound mediocrity, making it a very quaffable summer brew. This beer is nothing profound, a mild enhancement in an otherwise uninspired brew pretending to be something it is not.

Pours a clear golden colour with a one finger white head that quickly thins to a film. Aroma is big apricot jam. Taste is slightly sweet with a short lived, slightly fruity, aftertaste. Medium carbonation and body with a watery feeling in the mouth. Not a bad beer for what it is. Not a huge fan of the style.

After work pour as the rain chased us off the patio is light & fizzy with a cap that goes nowhere. I’m tasting dried apricots steeped in a wheat. Gina says its like someone dipped a melting creamsicle in the glass & she may just be right. If you like frozen treats dunked in your beer, than this is your drink.

341mL bottle. Pours clear, golden colour and white head that does not keep. Aroma of apricot syrup. Tastes very sweet apricot and just a little wheat. Not my style of beer. I tried it in cooking with chicken and the result was good.

From a bottle poured a copper color with almost no head. Light tart malty flavor with a quick finish.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye The smell is apricot, peaches, more fruit all upfront, and wheat. The look is golden in color, whitish head, and clear. The taste is sweet, fruits, and apricot.

Dark golden and transparent, light head low to mid carbonation. Smells of apricot nectar, almost soapy sweet (if that makes sense). Taste artificial. Malty and sweet. Wheat ale is not well represented. Certainly a more pleasurable experience than other flavoured wheat ales I have had. Not my favorite style of beer. Helps establish a better beer palate if anything. Thanks Lagerboy!!

Pours a clear golden color with an orange tinge and a frothy white head that dissipates into a ring. Aroma of sweet apricots, wheat and some pale malts. Taste is apricots with some wheat and barley and then a nice clean and crisp dry finish with a hint of hop bitterness. Overall an excellent fruit beer.
