Bobsy (196), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 4, 2008 Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a radiant pumpkin colour, with a small white head, which quickly falls away to a sparse film. Aroma of apricots and wheat, exactly as it says on the label. Initial taste is very grainy, and a bit bland, with the apricot present, but seemingly muted. The fruit flavours do became a lot more dominant as the beer warmed. I didn’t find it as sweet as some of the other raters, and I imagine it could be a refreshing drink in the summertime. However, there is nothing here to make me buy it again.
nearbeer (1199), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 17, 2008 11.5 oz bottle. Clear orange-topaz with a small, creamy and lasting head. Nice frost on the glass. Big aroma of apricot and peach. Flavors of apricot, grain and wheat, with some apple and peach notes. Medium-bodied and smooth with light carbonation, and slightly dry. Very well done fruit beer. WallyWalrus (168), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Aug 15, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear pale amber with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and pleasant -- mostly apricot and peach with maybe just the slightest bits of malt and yeast. Taste is light and fruity, with an initial flavor of grain and apricot giving way to a long sweet finish of apricot and peach notes. Refreshing and, without question, tastes like apricots. TURDFERGUSON (1114), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Aug 11, 2008 Clear golden amber with a small bubbled head that fades leaving spotty lace. Nose is fruit dominated--lots of apricot, a little peach. Flavor has the fruit flavor tamed a bit more than the nose. You can really taste the wheat more than I expected. Apricot still abounds. For what it is, it is well made. Would drink again, but not sure that I would buy it. blipp (675), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden amber with an off white head. Sweet aroma of apricot and peach. Body is a bit watery. Flavor is similar to the aroma, but with a bit of a bready malt in the background. Pretty one sided, but good nonetheless. Suttree (2275), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 26, 2008 Smells like aprocots. Tastes like apricots, with a toasty, bread background. So, overall, kind of a apricot jam on toast thing kinda goin’ on here. Not bad.
