COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout consistently beats out international stouts in blind tastings and competitions. This intensely black ale carries strong hints of espresso and chocolate. The oatmeal contributes body and ensures a long-lasting mocha-coloured head. If you like stout, you will love St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout.

From the tap at Pub St. Alexandre - Pours a rich black, with cascading tan micro-bubbles. The aroma is a tad off-putting for the style - wet cheese and glue. After the strange sniff, the velvet goodness ensues. The lacing matches the web it casts and it slithers down in its roasted goodness. The amount of oatmeal it must take to make a beer this smooth must be paddle-breaking. This cream of dark chocolate soup couldn’t feel better on the palate.

Can. A nice, well-balanced stout, the obligatory hints of coffee, nice foam and gentle finish.

Poured from a bottle that had a twist off cap. I did not expect such an amazing beer from that, but wow. This is what an oatmeal stout is supposed to be like. Color is jet black and completely opaque with a dark brown head. Aroma is smoky with roasted notes of coffee and chocolate. Taste is malty, but not too sweet. Nice slick and full mouthfeel. Great beer.

Excellente noire!

Pours a dark black with a brownish thick head. Aroma is lots of coffee and some chocolate. Taste is slightly bitter with hints of coffee. Aftertaste is dryer but no real bitterness or longer lasting one.

Bottle. Nearly black pour, beige head. Creamy, chocolatey aroma. Cocoa and malt in the flavour, simple but tasty. Medium bodied. Nice.

100? 100!?! A fine Stout but not "100" worthy. Where does that score even originate? I don’t see literally everyone that has rated it giving it a "5". Ranting aside, it is a tasty example, a brownish black, medium carbonated slickster with a tan head. Very wonderful scent of coffee, dark chocolate, molasses, burnt brown sugar and leather. Bittersweet mocha taste with a smooth maple finish. A good readily available drinky-poo.

Beerbistro Toronto na vycape Este som nevidela tak nadhernu kremovu penu. Farba cierna metaliza. Pri piti piva a vrateni do povodnej polohy sa na odliatej strane znovu vytvara pena. Takze v pohari stale zostava kremovost a pena. Vona je coko kava. V chuti najdete to iste plus jemne kyso horku dochut. Celkovo toto je toto pivo velmi vynimocne. Dala by som si k nemu coko chese cake. Odporucam.

Tapped at the Beerbistro in Toronto/Canada. Overall: mind blowing! Spectacular espresso creamy thick stable 2 inch head. Black noble color. Aroma of roasted malt smoothness, some oatmeal. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, mild tasty sourness, mild bitter hops in the finish. Very tasty!
