Nose is toasted grains, coffee, chocolate, earhty and quite pleasant. Sweet at the front, full at the top, the finish is lightly carbonated, dry, nicely hopped and quite a good ’Stout’. beergirl99 (101), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Dark malty nose with hints of chocolate and licorice. Pours very thick and leaves great lace. Very smooth mouthfeel that coats the mouth in a very pleasing way. Chocolate with a strong malty sweetness balanced well by the coffee bitterness. Great sipping beer. Thanks a ton to my Secret Santa for this one. skortila (2915), Bunnik, Netherlands

Poured almost jet black with a little red showing around the edges with huge dark tan head. Lacing left all over the glass when done. Roasty malt aroma leapt from the glass and could be smelled during the pour. The first sip wow’ed me and got me in trouble because my wife was mid-sentence and then she said, "You’re not even listening to me...you’re looking at that stupid beer!" Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do...and I had to appreciate the beer. eaglefan538 hit the flavor on the head...a bit bitter and lactic tasting. I really wanted it to be smoother and lose the bitterness and this could have been up there with the super-elite. As it is, it’s still probably up near tops of the class...just lost the opportunity for "a moment." jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA

Poured a dark chocolate brown with a foamy, creamy tan head, good retention and a fair amount of laced sticking.
Aromas of chocolate covered dark fruit, a little banana bread, and subtle coffee.
Good moderate carbonation and crisp, velvety smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate, with a nice oatmeal sweetness, a light fruitiness with some mocha towards the end, a very soft hop bitterness and a sweet, roasted malty finish.
One of the best oatmeal stouts I’ve personally tasted, really nice on cold November day, easy, quaffable drinkability, very recommended.
Acquired in a trade with Sammy, many thanks for this one!

The nose is of sweet, creamy chocolate, oats, bright coffee, milk, and almonds. Licorice, oats, raisins, and soft coffee are present in the mouth. This flirts with the definition of a sweet stout. This is mild throughout but still complex and extremely well balanced. bcbeer (10), Canada
