Clear amber color with a thin white head. Only slightly bitter taste due to the hops. Fairly full flavor, but surprisingly light body with lively carbonation. Again, finish is a touch bitter. Tasted quite refreshing to me, but I think I’d enjoy it more in warmer weather. guil0000 (118), New Brunswick, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2010 Bottle. Clear golden orange pour with a fluffy off-white head that lasts a little while. Aroma is both hoppy and malty and has notes of caramel, pine, grass and honey. Flavour is similar: caramelly malt and herbal / grassy hops. Light to medium body, medium to high carbonation and a moderately long, dry finish. Not a bad APA but not particularly exciting either. Papillon (222), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

Light malt dominates in the aroma with notes of caramel, grass, and a phenolic character about it. Typical pale ale flavor; light malt followed by a hop bitter aftertaste and a treacle-like finish. I like the mouth feel but too, this is a personal opinion from an ale-head. nate2g (1168), Brisbane, Australia
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear golden with a creamy white head. Aroma and flavour of sweet malt, caramel and fruity hops. Good carbonation. OK bitterness. A dull finish and slightly dry. It’s refreshing on a hot day. jrob21 (1320), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Bottle from ye olde Porter bar. Pours a light yellow. Major characteristic here is a hop profile that I don’t particularly care for. One that includes a bunch of fusel and rubbing alcohol sort of flavors. Really pungent and strong aroma but the flavor is quite off putting. Not that it is a poorly made beer just that the hop profile is not my fave. Travlr (983), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Deep orange brown, with a small white head and great lacing.
Aroma of pine nuts and orange peel.
Bitter taste with a background of orange and coriander, with a bittersweet finish.
Nice body.
Very drinkable. hawthorne00 (236), Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Bottle. Amber, off-white head. Fruity and hoppy nose - I couldn’t decide whether the hops were piney, grassy, floral or gooseberry-y. The nose is really quite restrained, but is complex and balanced. There’s a fair bit of malt sweetness with - again - nicely balanced and well-integrated hops. Slightly too sweet for my tastes. In a style where there are a lot of frank-bordering-on-direct beers, this is a diplomat.
