Suttree (2702), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 26, 2008 Gold, big rock white head. Smells like saltines and black pepper. Flavor is surprisingly fruity, given the aroma, then a crisp, spicy finish. Seems to have a vague English character. patricks110 (276), Alberta, Canada Jul 21, 2008 A remarkable amber brown colour with a medium sixed creamy head. An aroma of floral hops and citrusy frutis. A great beer for sitting on a patio. Crisp, bitter, but not overpowering beer that has a fairly normal mouthfeel and a great appearance. Overall, a great beer. Had at Bottlescrew Bills, Calgary, AB. oteyj (716), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours amber with large frothy head and sports great lacing. Aroma has a nice hoppy backbone with some fruity elements as well as citrus. Flavor is sweet with malt with a good balance of bitterness from the hop character. Not as much bitterness as the aroma would suggest, but it all works nicely here. Palate is full for the style, with a nice crisp, and slightly bitter aftertaste. This is definitely a tastey example of the style. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jul 18, 2008 Pour is a copper with a small white head. Aroma is very faint with just a minor whiff of hops and almost no malts. Flavor is a little better with a bit of fruit in there but not much in the way of a hop profile. The weakest of the 3 i have had from this brewer and nothing that is a must have. Add more hops! LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Jul 17, 2008 11.5oz bottle. Pours clear amber in color with tan head. Aroma sweet, caramel and grainy. Taste bitter, malty and grainy with bitter finish. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Jul 17, 2008 amber pour with small white head...aroma is grassy and spicey, with hints of citrus and little malt..touches of sugar..flavor is very similar, and finishes quite bitter...has hints of caramel as well Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Jul 16, 2008 Courtesy of fonefan. It’s dark amber with an OK head. The aroma is fruity with notes of malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of malt, caramel, fruit and a bit of spice. It’s straightforward and charming. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA Jul 13, 2008 copper color, not much head, little tan bubbles. nose is mostly airy hops. flavor is creamy, slightly bitter. light bodied and a bit too effervescent for me. not a bad beer, pretty much inoffensive.
