Clear bright copper with lastiing flat head and lace. Mild citrus and malt aroma. Complex caramel and apricot sweetness. Medium English malt and hop flavor and bitterness. Medium body and carbo. Unassuming, but very enjoyable. Complex enough to be interesting. Turco (11), Alma, Quebec, Canada Apr 8, 2008 A bright-amber beer with a fast disappearing head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of caramel, fruits and a very nice hop taste. A very good and enjoyable everyday beer AWS9 (221), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Apr 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep amber, with a slight, white head that recedes to a fine lacing. Aroma is very similar to the taste: honey, caramel malt, with a minimal touch of hops. The little hop is probably what makes the aftertaste so... non-existent. A little bitterness would be preferred, however it also makes this very, very drinkable. Excellent. I look forward to trying the Oatmeal Stout next... swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Apr 2, 2008 On tap @ Beer Bistro, Toronto. Pours a deep amber color. Aroma of caramel malts & little hop bitterness. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Taste of caramel malts & little hop bitterness.Nice beer but want some bitterness to a pale ale. Illuminatus (87), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Mar 25, 2008 Six-pack from the Beer Store. Pours nicely, a good creamy off-white head with an attractive orange body. Maltier and less hoppy than I expected from the aroma. A very good beer. AaronBouchard (128), Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada Mar 22, 2008 Pours a big frothy head that lasts. Pleasent sweet aroma. Tastes like a typical beer you would get at any old brew pub. May be consitered good by real beer buffs but this does not float my boat to the greatest degree. thoreaubred (42), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 22, 2008 St. Ambroise Pale Ale - This is a pretty mediocre pale ale by American standards. Not very memorable.
