TheJester (694), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Dec 20, 2007 341 mL bottle. Copper in colour and brilliantly clear, with a small head that recedes to a covering of film. The aroma is mild, but nicely balanced between malt and hops. The taste is quite full for a pale ale, and leans nicely toward citrus/pine hops. Fairly heavy on the carbonation. Nice example of how to do this style well. PJMTL (9), LaPrairie, Quebec, Canada does not count Dec 8, 2007 Opens with a hoppy aroma and is followed by aromas of sweet malts. Pours a beautiful orangy brown, thick white head that receds slowly. Hop bitterness is present and does not overpower the malty-ness. This is by far one of my favorite everyday drinking beers.
LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 25, 2007 A so so APA. Nothing spectacular. Aroma of grassy hops with just a hint of citrus. Pour was a light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was mostly grassy hops with very little caramel malt to balance it out. Little carbonation. The flavor just does not come through on this. Nice, but could be better. Tmoney99 (4655), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 16, 2007 Bottle sample from distrbutor. Poured clear dark amber with an average frothy off-white head that diminished slowly and produced good lacing. Moderate hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium hoppy bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of average duration. Good drinkable brew. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2007 [608-20070913] 341mL. Malty hops, light grass and a nice touch of lemon in the aroma. Clear, dark amber orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Grainy malt flavour has a bit of grassy lemon and sweet hints in the finish. Medium body, some astringency. Nice though a little too grainy for me. Bobsy (194), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 8, 2007 Bottle from the LCBO. Amber pour with a small white head. Fresh hops and fruit aroma. Great hops taste and a lingering finish. Pleasant. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 6, 2007 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 28 Sep 2007) Dark amber colour with frothy beige head. Fruity nose with balanced notes of citrus (orange, grapefruit). Fruity taste with orange, apricots and citrussy hops in the finish. Balanced, nice pale ale.
